Are the policies compliant with the new updates to the Psychologist Code of Conduct?

YES! Fully compliant including updates to privacy, consent, boundaries etc. workspace 

How do you see which clients have paid me?

Haven acts as a collection agent. So your client payments go into our bank account, we match the payment off and transfer the money to you weekly. This way we can manage your accounts receivables without having to access your bank account.

How do I get my income?

We transfer your income to you weekly with a statement showing who has paid and how much you made last week.

How is the membership fee calculated?

It is 20% of the payments we collect on your behalf, plus GST (which you can claim back if you register for GST which we recommend doing and will help you with).

Do you provide my insurance?

No. Actually, no one can provide insurance for you, not even an employer if a claim is brought against you as an individual. So it’s important that you have your own insurance. We can help you organise it and compare whether it’s best to go with the one your registering body has a deal with (which it probably is).

What contact do you have with my clients?

Haven sends your invoices from your Splose account with your details on it. For NDIS Plan Managed clients and Behaviour Support clients there are some requirements such as stating on your invoices that Haven is acting on your behalf and clients with post-payment services will see Haven’s bank details on the invoice. We have information you can provide to clients to explain your Haven membership; or you can simply tell clients we are your business or bookkeeping service. Haven will only contact your clients to support you with debt recovery if you request it and we will never contact your clients without you instructing us to. If you submit an admin support request instructing us to contact your clients e.g. to book appointments then we will. If a client randomly contacts Haven we will redirect them back to you. Any contact and communication with your clients will be of the highest professional standard.

How often can I use the therapy rooms?

Whenever you book it! We will limit the number of members at each location as Haven grows so that it does not get so busy that you can’t book a room when you need it. You can enter a recurring booking for a regular client or book a room adhoc as needed. There are 3 rooms: a grown up room, a kids room and a clinical room – plus an open space big enough for groups or large meetings. We also supply resources for kids/teens therapy sessions everything from board games to pretend play, animals, dolls, lego, emotional regulation resources, fine and gross motor equipment etc.

What CRM does Haven use?

Currently the Haven infrastructure only connects to Splose (subscription to Splose is included in your Haven membership). We chose Splose because it had the features we needed to link it to everything else. The future plan is to connect Halaxy and others so that members have some choice about which CRM to use, as it is your business after all. So if you have a CRM you love and think we should connect it please let us know.  

Can NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioners use Haven?

Yes Haven membership is suitable for registered PBS practitioners under Haven’s NDIS registration. There is an additional addendum you need to sign in our membership agreement, this confirms that you will be compliant with all of the NDIS Commission obligations and that you will not knowingly put Haven’s NDIS registration at risk. You also need to agree to cooperate with providing information about incidents and submitting information for register maintenance plus any information requested for NDIS audit. You still operate an independent business and nothing changes about the legal structure of your relationship with Haven.  

What do the office facilities include?

Fully set up hotdesk workstations. We even have phone and laptop chargers ready! The desks are available on a first in basis however we do not expect demand to exceed usage and we expect there will always be a desk available when you need it. There is also a printer, scanner, shredder, binding machine, laminator etc and all the resource-making stuff you could imagine.

How do you track my expenses?

We provide an app where you take photos of receipts for any business related expenses or purchases you make (you can then safely lose the receipt). We categorise and track your expenses and include it on your Financial Information Summary. Not only can you see exactly how much money you are making and spending without having to enter it yourself – whoever does your tax return is going to love us.
